    1. Do they? These magpies are very friendly towards smaller birds, I’ve noticed. I think European magpies might be different to our Australian variety though.

    1. It is! And kookaburra babies are the same – large! You can tell the difference though when you compare the juvenile features to the adults, particularly the soft appearance of the feathers and slightly less developed colourings.

    1. They are very pretty birds, and when you befriend a magpie they trust you for life. They have beautiful natures and each has its own individual personality. I believe our magpies are very different to their northern hemisphere namesakes!
