To write such magical words, I think that Emily must have spent her life at one with nature.

I always have to read over Emily Dickinson’s words a few times too Sybil, before completely understanding them, that’s why I chose this poem to accompany my sunset photo! The light of the sky was so very special, so surreal….I believe she is saying that we (humans) are inferior to such magnificence in nature, and the sunset knows it is more fabulously gorgeous than any of us mere mortals. But that’s just me, and that’s what poetry is all about, we can read into it whatever we like really, or simply not get it, and either is okay.

Emily is my very favorite poet. There is nothing that she says that doesn’t speak directly to my soul. xo

Her words can transport you to another world, don’t you think, a world where our souls are all one, and we feel her words. ❤
